* The garua’ season (June to November) is when the weather is relatively cool and dry, with sunny or overcast skies and occasional drizzle
* Sea gets a bit rougher
* Sea bird communities are very active (breeding) with flightless Cormorants performing beautiful courtship rituals and nesting activities on Fernandina.
* If you walk along the shores of Puerto Egas (Santiago Island) you can find American Oystercatchers nesting.
* Cetaceans (whales & dolphins) are more likely to be observed especially off the southern and western coasts of Isabela.
* Common Gallinules or Moorhens nest between May and October and are often seen with their babies following behind.
