Many are within National Parks, where listening to the sounds of the wild at night is not to be forgotten. After busy days on game drives, relax by the pool (some lodges) or enjoy sundowners on the decking amid the raw splendour of the surrounding bush. The style of the lodges reflects their backdrop, with traditional African themes and furnishings, cultural influences and open-plan architectural design.
