Day 1 MiamiWith a focus on fun in the sun, sand and surf, there's plenty to do in downtown Miami. Why not hit the beach for some eye-popping beautiful people watching, then head to one of the many lively restaurants or thumping nightclubs to celebrate the start of this Florida adventure? Day 2 Key WestWith pearl-white beaches and turquoise waters, the Florida Keys are just begging to be enjoyed. Go snorkelling, scuba diving or join a glass-bottom boat tour over the coral reef. This slow-moving system of freshwater rivers stretches 80 km across but is less than a metre deep. It is the largest subtropical wilderness in the US and alligators, snakes and sea turtles are common sights in this amazing labyrinth of mangrove waterways and saw grass. Opt to take a thrilling airboat ride, gliding over swamps at exhilarating speeds. This is one experience not to be missed. Continue on to Naples, the trendiest vacation spot on Florida's west coast. Days 5-6 Fort Myers/OrlandoTake in the 23 km of McGregor Boulevard, lined with more than 2,000 palms, in the city of Fort Myers. Consider taking a trip to Sanibel Island - famed for its shell collecting and looped by scenic bike paths. The adventure continues in Orlando, America's theme park capital. Why not spend a free day here at Disney World or Universal Studios? Day 7 Cape Canaveral/Florida CoastSpace fans are highly recommended to visit the John F Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, where Neil Armstrong, Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin and Michael Collins launched in 1969 to be the first men to land on the moon. Walk among recovered satellites and rockets of yesteryear and get the latest update on NASA's future developments. Day 8 Fort Lauderdale/MiamiHead south to Fort Lauderdale, the 'Venice of America', and find a stylish city that is abuzz with cafe-lined riverside walkways. End the journey back in cosmopolitan Miami.
