Day 1 AmmanIf arriving early, venture out to the Jerash ruins to soak up some history. Back in Amman, perhaps visit the National Archaeological Museum or head to the impressive Citadel for stunning city views. Days 2-3 PetraEnjoy a buoyant dip in the salty Dead Sea - the lowest point on Earth. Travel to Petra to explore the spectacular site hewn out of rose-coloured rock. This ancient Nabataean city is one of the must-see places to visit in the Middle East. Day 4 Wadi RumFull of weird and beautiful lunar-like rock formations, Wadi Rum will impress with some of the most sublime desert landscape on the planet. Spend a memorable night sleeping Bedouin-style in rustic camel-hair tents or head outside to fall asleep under a twinkling canopy of stars. Days 5-6 Red Sea Beach CampCross the sparkling Gulf of Aqaba, arrive in Egypt and make tracks to a seaside camp beside the glistening Red Sea. Scuba dive or snorkel through beautiful reefs, kick back on golden sands or join new Bedouin friends for a seafood feast. Whatever your choice of activity, the Red Sea is a magical place to lose track of time. Day 7 Mt SinaiHike or take a camel to the summit of Egypt's iconic Mt Sinai, where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. The 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape from the summit are spectacular. Also visit the beautiful St Catherine Monastery, nestled at the foot of Sinai where Moses is believed to have seen the famous Burning Bush. Days 8-9 CairoWith its crowded souqs, treasure-filled museums, flavoursome cuisine and the famous Pyramids in Giza, Cairo provides the perfect end to this Middle Eastern expedition.
