Day 1 Arrive CairoDiscover the vibrant, heaving streets of Cairo. Day 2 Saqqara SightseeingSet off in a private car to discover Saqqara, an ancient burial ground and home to the world's oldest standing step pyramid. For over 3,000 years this site was an important complex for burials and ceremonies. Move on to the Bent Pyramid at the royal necropolis of Dahshur. Many believe this pyramid is the intermediate construction between the stepped pyramids, such as at Saqqara, and the smooth-sided pyramids of Giza. Discover the complex's final pyramid, the Red Pyramid, once the tallest man-made structure in the world. Continue on to Memphis, Egypt's ancient capital until around 2,200 BC. Return to modern Egypt with a private transfer back to Cairo.
