Newsletter - September 2010

newsletter intro
Welcome to Mondo D' Mondo for September 2010!
Image: Carolyn Hopkinson
After returning from a  week sailing in the Desolation Sound area I have come to the conclusion that a week of doing nothing is something  everyone should do at least once in one's lifetime.

Maybe it is an age thing, but after travelling to over 60 countries and seeing the world from every angle imaginable I loved my week connecting with nature. With no access to a phone or email I was in paradise.

Talking about that age  thing. Imagine Sean Connery making eighty the new sexy and Tom Jones thinking it's not unusual to still be singing at seventy, with the Statue of Liberty holding her head high at 124 years and the Taj Mahal shining as brightly as she did in 1653. I would like to think that we are all looking better with age.

So what's their secret to growing old gracefully? I know mine is taking plenty of holidays.

There are amazing deals to be had with Intrepid, Kumuka and GAP.
