Sombrero Chino is a tiny island separated from Santiago
Island by a
200-meter wide channel. Its volcanic cone is
recognized by the island's descriptive name. The
lava is very fragile with only little vegetation.

- Follow the 400 m trail around the cove through the
sea lion
colony and multitudes of marine iguanas.
- Snorkel and swim with sea lions, manta rays, schools
of
topical fish and sharks.
- Walk the easy trail along the coast to view the small
lava
tubes and pillow lava.
