Day 1 Kathmandu/Lukla/PhakdingFly from Kathmandu to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region. Start trekking along the Dudh Kosi River and spend the night in the village of Phakding. Day 2 Namche BazaarCriss-cross over the river en route to Jorsale, the trek's halfway point. Later in the day finish with a challenging uphill climb to Namche Bazaar and the first glimpse of Everest. Day 3 MonjoClimb to the highest hotel in the world for unobstructed views of Everest. Then it's back downhill to the settlement of Monjo. Day 4 LuklaEnjoy a leisurely walk back to Lukla. Day 5 KathmanduTake an early morning flight to Kathmandu.
