Day 1 KathmanduFull of temples and stupas, rickshaws and markets, Kathmandu is an intoxicating start to any adventure. Visit the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) to learn about responsible trekking before the exciting challenges ahead. Days 2-13 Everest Base CampTrek remote mountain paths, cross glaciers, traverse lush valleys, scale high passes and ascend to the foot of world's highest peak. Locally known as Sagarmatha, Everest is the ultimate goal for mountaineers worldwide. Follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay to reach Everest Base Camp. Learn about legendary sherpas and stay in remote villages as you make your way through the breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Days 14-16 KathmanduFly back from Lukla and shop in Kathmandus's vibrant markets. Head out to see the resident monkeys at Swayambhunath or simply relax with a spiced chai as you prepare to trek the Annapurna circuit. Day 17 BandipurTake a day relaxing in this tiny village that offers fantastic views of what's to come. Take a guided walk through ornate buildings and meet villagers in Bandipur's vibrant countryside. Days 18-34 Annapurna CircuitSee waterfalls of melted snow, cross fast-flowing rivers and traverse broad plains while trekking the Annapurna Circuit. Discover traditional mountain communities, isolated monasteries and friendly locals herding yaks. High-altitude trekking can be incredibly difficult but the spectacular scenery, an encouraging guide and the odd dip in a natural hot spring keeps motivation levels high. Day 35 PokharaStretch weary muscles on an easy stroll around the lake. Perhaps hire a boat to explore further, or take a trip to the International Mountaineering Museum. Reminisce over this epic trekking adventure with a celebratory dinner. Days 36-37 KathmanduWhy not head out to Pashupatinath on the holy Bagmati River or celebrate the adventure with new friends and a final Nepali feast.
