This town is renowned for its crystal so be sure to put shopping on the top of the 'to-do list'. Day 3 Colle Val d'Elsa to MonteriggioniHeavy ramparts form a full circle around Monteriggioni, remnants of its military past and a walk along the evocative ring of walls harks back to a bygone era. Afterwards, why not relax with a glass of chianti? Days 4-5 Monteriggioni to SienaWalk forth to the heart of Tuscany - Siena - a treasure trove of Romanesque and Gothic art and architecture.
