Day 1 Arrive SorrentoHead to the Sorrento coast to explore ancient sites, discover tiny islands and soak up spectacular vistas. Begin the family adventure by getting acquainted with Sorrento itself - perhaps try to find the best pizza and gelati in town! Days 2-7 Sorrento/Pompeii/Paestum/CapriStep into a living history book on a visit to Pompeii. Frozen in time when Mt Vesuvius erupted in 79AD, this ancient site provides an incredible snapshot of what life was like in a prosperous Roman town. Why not choose to scale the slopes of Mt Vesuvius, the region's famous active volcano, for stunning views of the Bay of Naples. In free time, perhaps set sail along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Stop off at one of the picturesque coastal villages and get lost in the labyrinth of cobblestone laneways that snake up the mountainside. Take an optional bus ride up to Ravello and marvel at the breathtaking views back over the Amalfi from Villa Cimbrone. Meet the most pampered buffalos in the world at an agriturismo farm in Paestum. Taste delicious buffalo mozzarella cheese and learn how it's produced. Board a hydrofoil to the island of Capri and weather permitting, take a boat to the island's most famous feature, the glistening Blue Grotto. Once sightseeing on Capri is done, take some time out in the Piazza Umberto where adults can try the local speciality, limoncello. After spending most of the tour feasting on Italy's yummy cuisine, it's now time to learn how to make it!
