Day 1 Arrive MenesjärviArrive in Finland and begin this once-in-a-lifetime Arctic adventure in the picturesque village of Menesjärvi. Days 2-4 MenesjärviExperience Finland's magical winter wonderland in this icy corner of the world. Try kick-sledging, cross-country skiing or tobogganing - there are plenty of chances to hone these skills over the next few days. Venture deeper into the wilderness on an optional snowmobile trip. Learn the secrets of ice-fishing and perhaps get the chance to speed across the flat expanse of frozen Lake Menesjärvi.. Visit a local craft market and, fingers crossed, catch a glimpse of the famous luminosity of the Northern Lights. For a thrilling ride, head out to a husky camp and be pulled across the ice at high-speed by a team of hardy huskies. Learn how to 'mush mush' your husky team and watch spectacular snow-capped scenery whizz by. For a change of pace, visit the Sami Museum and discover the history and culture of the indigenous people of this region. Travel by snowmobile and sledges to track reindeer herds through pine forests and open fields. Back in the village it's time for more fun in the snow, or perhaps a relaxing steam in the hot sauna. Day 5 Depart MenesjärviSoak up the charms of Menesjärvi one last time before the frosty fun in Finland comes to an end.
