Nestled between France on one side and Spain on the other, Andorra is full of surprises. Summer in Andorra is calm and unrushed with stunning blue skies and the greenest valleys you may ever see; the perfect location for an action-packed family adventure. Strap on the day pack and take a hike through the stunning mountains, cool off with a swim in crystal-clear lakes, and bike ride through picturesque valleys. Then step things up a notch and take to the skies on zip wires on a day trip to France. Back down on the ground pay a visit to a local market across the border in Spain. The fun never ends on the whirlwind eight day adventure in beautiful Andorra.

Itinerary

Days 1-4 Soldeu

Nestled between France on one side and Spain on the other, Andorra is full of surprises. Travel to the attractive Pyrenees village of Soldeu to start the adventure. Take a hike into the stunning and unspoilt Incles Valley. Be sure to bring swimmers as there's plenty of chances to cool off with a dip. Discover the history of this region and follow the 'Iron Route' to Ordino. Perhaps take up the challenge and try climbing a via ferrata (a mountain route equipped with steps, cables and bridges) at one of the many centres dotted around this picturesque region. Alternatively, visit the nearby Palau de Gel d'Andorra and take a spin around the ice skating rink.

Day 5 French Pyrenees/Soldeu

Travel across the border today to the French Pyrenees and enjoy a thrill-seeking day at a zip wire centre. Soar through the sky along the wires, and climb through the forest on high ropes - a thrilling adventure for the whole family. Choose to do the green run, travelling only a few feet from the ground, or really get the heart pumping on the challenging red run. Back on the ground, have a picnic at a spot by the lake. Afterwards, hit the trail and further explore this pristine terrain on a mountain bike ride.

Day 6 Soldeu

Set off for an invigorating hike in the mountains near Siscarro Lake. There's plenty of opportunities to swim along the way. Relax and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the fabulous mountain views.

Day 7 La Seu D'Urgell/Soldeu

Cross the border again, this time to Spain to visit the medieval town of La Seu D'Urgell. Wander through the fascinating Romanesque Cathedral, and purchase lunch at a traditional market. Perhaps visit nearby Parc Olympic del Segre and try rafting or canoeing.

Day 8 Soldeu

Say goodbye to an action-packed trip back in Soldeu.
