| Overview |
Don't miss witnessing a once in a lifetime event. Lake Eyre, the huge normally dry salt lake 11 metres below sea level in the centre of Australia is filling with water. The desert is coming to life as recent torrential rain which fell near the East coast of Oz is making its way slowly to the desert, bringing life to the parched lands of the outback. We pass through the rarely visited Tiari Desert via the remote Oodnadatta track, explore the magnificent Flinders Ranges, search for the rare Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby, visit 8000 year old aboriginal art sites and join a 2 hour flight over Lake Eyre and the Cooper Creek. Travel out to the banks of Lake Eyre and see some of the most spectacular scenery the outback has to offer while witnessing the re birth of this magical land.Take an unforgettable sunset boat cruise down Spencer Gulf with breathtaking views over the magnificent Flinders Ranges. Marvel at the abundance of bird life and playful dolphins while feasting on local prawns, oysters and chicken. We finish by sampling some of South Australia's best wines in the Clare Valley.
