Day 1 Brisbane/CunnamullaTravel from Queensland's laidback capital, Brisbane, through open, sheep-speckled plains to Cunnamulla, a riverside pioneering town. Day 2 EuloExplore the outback town of Eulo in a classic old Holden, an Aussie icon in itself. Peruse some local art, visit a date farm and indulge in some date wine. In the evening be sure to share a beer and a yarn with the locals at the pub. Days 3-4 CunnamullaAfter breakfast in the bush, visit Lover's Leap. Search for an opal at Yowah, then get the loot cut to perfection. Make like a Queenslander with a game of barefoot lawn bowls, beer and a barbecue. When night falls, get spooked with a tour of the town graveyard. Explore the calm Warrego River's waters in a kayak, have a crack at some fishing or simply listen to the chorus of birds while lazing on the riverbanks. Feast on Aussie tucker by the campfire and look to the skies with a telescopic tour of the outback's heavenly bodies. Days 5-6 Charlotte PlainsExplore the enormous Charlotte Plains station on a tour with the 3rd generation graziers that call it home. Navigate a swing bridge at Rocky Station, slip into an artesian spa for a relaxing soak and have a go at making a traditional bush bread and billy tea. Days 7-8 CunnamullaBack in the friendly outpost of Cunnamulla learn how to take some great snapshots with an acclaimed artist. Day 9 BrisbaneLeave the outback behind and return to Brisbane.
