| Overview |
Australia is a vast country, but the natural beauty and amazing land formations are worth the distances covered. Our six day adventure begins in Adelaide, and then heads north along the old trade route to Roxby Downs and the world famous opal mining area of Andamooka. We tour an underground working opal mine, and then continue on via the rocket launching town of Woomera, to the famous opal mining town of Coober Pedy. Here we have a tour of the town and area, and overnight in an underground hotel. Our journey then takes us through the real Australian Outback where we see the biggest icons, such as the longest fence and the largest cattle station in the world, as well as Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, the longest place name in Australia, and Lake Eyre, Australia's largest salt lake. Please note that the child price is only applicable for children under 12 sharing a room with 2 adults. If children are in a separate room, or if 1 child is sharing with only 1 adult, then the adult price applies.
