Days 1-2 Bangkok/Overnight TrainGrab a few bargains at the Pratunam wholesale market, zip along the khlongs in a longtail or maybe sample some of Bangkok's exciting nightlife along Khao San Road. There's time for a soothing Thai massage, some more shopping at MBK or a moment of spirituality at the the striking Wat Arun, before boarding the overnight sleeper train south. Day 3 Khao Sok National ParkLocated close to the heart of the extraordinary Khao Sok National Park, our bungalows are set close to cascading waterfalls, soaring limestone cliffs and island-studded lakes. Take to the walking trails to spot some of the creatures that inhabit this piece of tropical paradise or ride an inner tube downriver to soak up the stunning waterside scenery. Relax by the river, try to spot a monkey or just soak up the atmosphere in these jungle surrounds. Days 4-5 Khao Sok RafthouseTravel by boat to secluded rafthouses on the beautiful Raja Phraba Lake, home for the next two nights. Canoe, tube and swim in the lake's cool waters and when night falls, head deep into the jungle on a guided walk to spot the local wildlife. Fall asleep surrounded by fantastic limestone peaks. There's no need for an alarm clock here - the exotic sounds of gibbons and birds will rouse the heaviest sleepers. Day 6 Surat ThaniTake an early morning boat ride to a nearby cave and swim beneath the canopy of bats sleeping above. Say goodbye to the jungle and transfer on to Surat Thani.
