| Itinerary |
Day 1 Hanoi/HueBegin this exciting Vietnam adventure with an early flight out of Hanoi bound for the imperial capital of Hue. Perhaps arrive a couple days early to explore charming Hanoi, famous for its serene lakes, shaded boulevards and beautiful public parks. The city centre reflects the former colonial French and Buddhist influences along with the more modern aspects of South-East Asia. Day 2 HueStep into the exquisitely embroidered shoes of the Nguyen emperors, while exploring the imperial ruins of Hue at leisure. A full day is spent learning about the city's royal heritage in the ruins of the Imperial Citadel and at two of the most impressive royal tombs on the city's outskirts. Spend a relaxing evening on a cruise along the Perfume River. Days 3-4 Hoi AnVisit the Cham Museum, the Marble Mountains and China Beach en route to Hoi An. This delighful riverside town was one of South-East Asia's most important international ports in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and entire streetscapes from that era have survived to this day. Day 5 Hoi An/Ho Chi Minh CityTake time to relax on the beach or perhaps make final clothes alterations with one of Hoi An's famous tailors before heading to Ho Chi Minh City where this adventure concludes.
