Day 1 Ho Chi Minh CityThe infectious energy of Ho Chi Minh City makes Vietnam's largest metropolis a fascinating place to explore. Get a taste of life during the American war on a guided tour through the Cu Chi Tunnels. Spend time discovering the past in the War Remnants Museum, and then unearth hidden bargains among the stalls of Ben Thanh Market. Day 2 Mekong DeltaThe Mekong Delta is referred to as Vietnam's 'ricebowl' where farmers produce coconuts, sugar cane, a wide variety of fruit, fresh seafood and, of course, rice. Take in the lush-green surroundings on a bike ride along a local village path before stopping at an orchard to sample delicious tropical fruit. Day 3 Ho Chi Minh CityBoard a boat for a memorable cruise along the watery byways of the Delta. Visit the Cai Rang floating market and see merchants trading produce in a traditional way. Perhaps stop off for lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the bright lights and busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City, where this southern adventure comes to an end.
