Days 1-2 Hong Kong

Be captivated by Hong Kong's bright lights and spectacular skyline.

Days 3-4 Fenghuang

With traditional wooden houses built on stilts, the ancient town of Fenghuang is like stepping back in time.

Days 5-8 Yangzi River

Take a tour of the Three Gorges Dam site in Yichang then take a relaxing cruise on the Yangzi River.

Days 9-10 Chongqing/Chengdu

Cruise into the port city of Fengdu, travel to Chongqing then catch a train to Chengdu and challenge tastebuds with spicy Sichuan cuisine. Meet gorgeous giant pandas on a visit to a breeding centre.

Days 11-12 Hangzhou

Cycle around the picture-perfect West Lake in Hangzhou.

Days 13-16 Shanghai

Shanghai shines with impressive architecture and a cosmopolitan vibe. Get to know the treasures of this amazing city by visiting museums, trawling the local bazaars or sitting in a cafe in the hip French Concession area.

Day 17 Shaolin

Visit the famous Shaolin Temple and watch a kung fu demonstration.

Day 18 Luoyang

See over 100,000 rock-carved images of Buddha and discover a series of ancient caves dedicated to various forms of worship.

Days 19-21 Xi'an

Discover the incredible underground necropolis guarded by the Terracotta Warriors.

Day 22 Chengdu

Search out the city's famous hotpot cuisine, relax in a teahouses or indulge in an evening of opera.

Days 23-24 Sichuan Countryside

Explore a 2,000 year-old town in the heart of Sichuan and enjoy a trek through the surrounding tea terraces.

Days 25-28 Beijing & Great Wall

Ramble along the Great Wall, walk through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and soak up the atmosphere of the capital. Why not indulge in a few dumplings or savour some Peking duck before leaving Beijing?
