Overview
Mount Kinabalu is the highest peak in South East Asia, at 4,101m. The World Heritage Kinabalu National Park is rich in flora and fauna and guided walks take you through this botanical paradise. The park is home to the Rafflesia, the worlds largest flowering plant, pitcher plants and many bird species. On the three day Mt Kinabalu tour, we hike to Laban Rata to prepare for the mountain climb. Continuing through the foothills we make our early morning attempt and reach the peak at 4,101m before sunrise, taking in the magnificent views across North East Borneo and the Philippines. We return to Park Headquarters, and take a guided nature walk with a Park Naturalist, with time to explore the Mountain Garden. We overnight at Park Headquarters, and return to Kota Kinabalu the following day. Mount Kinabalu - Important Information: Any references to availability or non availability of tours which include the trek to the summit of Mt Kinabalu, listed beside the departure dates on our website, should be treated as a guide only. Whilst Mondo Adventure Travel endeavours to keep this information as current as possible please keep in mind that the availability of beds at the Resthouses on the mountain is limited, and can change rapidly, and we cannot guarantee availability for the trek. To be permitted to climb to the summit of Mt Kinabalu, you must have a confirmed bed at one of the Resthouses, and the number of beds is obviously limited. Whilst we will endeavour to organise this for you, this is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. At certain times of year, beds are available within a few weeks of departure, however, in peak season these can be sold out several months in advance. Within 2 months of a departure, all bookings are on a request basis only, and it cannot be guaranteed that we will be able to confirm the booking. Before we can apply for your place on the mountain, we will require your full name, passport number, nationality and date of birth, as well as the tour deposit, or full payment if the tour departs within 30 days. In the event that spaces are unavailable, your travel consultant will advise you of any alternatives. If you are considering a tour that includes the trek to the summit of Mt Kinabalu book early to avoid disappointment. This information is correct at the time of writing. Please note: For single travellers - A single supplement applies to this tour to cover transport back to Kota Kinabalu should no other passengers be booked onto this 3 day tour, and also a single room at Park HQ. The single supplement is payable immediately and taken in your local currency, but will be refunded if additional passengers book at a later date.

The trouble in corporate America is that too many people with too much power live in a box (their home), then travel the same road very day to another box (their office). Faith Popcorn
