| Overview |
Ever wanted to journey to the very bottom of the world? On this expedition you'll cruise on an icebreaker, going where larger boats can't and attempting the Polar Circle Crossing. Head as far south as Crystal Sound and see a multitude of wildlife including leopard seal and several species of penguins. Stop by the volcanic South Shetland Islands and on the return voyage home cross the Drake Passage and the Beagle Channel. This is one adventure you will never forget! The M/V Polar Star is one of the world's best expedition ice-class vessels on the seas today - of a size that combined with its ice capability and Zodiac landing craft, allows access to places that others can only sail past. Its large on-deck viewing areas and a panoramic observation lounge allow beautiful vistas and many opportunities for spotting wildlife.

| Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. - Maya Angelou |
