Day 1 Arusha/Ngorongoro CraterTransfer from Arusha to Ngorongoro, stopping along the way at the village of Mto Wa Mbu. Mingle with the locals at the village's market and enjoy a home-cooked lunch. Enjoy free time to explore before continuing on to the crater. Spend the night at a lodge, located a few hundred meters from the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater/ArushaAfter an early breakfast descend to the crater floor 600 m below the rim. The Ngorongoro Crater is the remains of an ancient volcano and within its walls lie 250 sq km of floor space, home to remarkable concentrations of wildlife. Over 30,000 animals live here including endangered black rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, impala, zebras and hippos to name just a few. Spend half-day on a game drive searching them out. Stop for a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha.
