Day 1 NairobiTravel to Africa and arrive in Kenya's busy capital. Day 2 Lake NakuruMeet local children at the Saidia Children's Home Project. See pink flamingos dotting the shoreline of Lake Nakuru. Days 3-4 Eldoret/KampalaEmbark on an early morning game drive to search out African wildlife. Travel across the border into Uganda and camp near the city of Kampala. Days 5-6 Kibale Forest National ParkWalk with the chimps in equatorial rainforest in Kibale Forest National Park. Day 7 Queen Elizabeth National ParkEmbark on exciting game safaris through Queen Elizabeth National Park and try to spot elephants, lions and antelope. Hop on a boat tour along the Kazinga Channel where fish eagles soar and hippos wallow. Day 8 Lake BunyonyiHead to Lake Bunyonyi in the south west of Uganda. One of the best ways to enjoy the scenery here is to hire a traditional dugout canoe and glide across the lake's surface. Days 9-11 Gorilla TrekArrive in Rwanda and travel to Ruhengeri where the gorilla trek begins. With a guide, hike through rugged terrain and encounter these rare mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Head out on rainforest hikes to glimpse other native species then pay respects at the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Day 12 Lake MburoBack in Uganda, camp overnight on the shores of Lake Mburo. Spot gigantic eland antelope grazing near the shoreline. Days 13-14 JinjaEnjoy a dawn walking safari and travel to Jinja - the perfect place to enjoy adrenaline-pumping adventure sports including kayaking and whitewater rafting. Days 15-16 Eldoret/NairobiTravel back across the Kenyan plains to Nairobi, passing through Eldoret. Day 17 ArushaExplore Arusha, a market town nestled in the foothills of an active volcano and a popular launching place for many safaris in Tanzania. Day 18 Mto wa MbuVisit the small village of Mto Wa Mbu and learn about the local way of life. Spend the night in Karatu, gateway to the magnificent Serengeti. Days 19-20 Serengeti National ParkBask in the vast, breathtaking landscape of rolling savanna and acacia trees in the Serengeti National Park. Go on safari in search of the many lions, leopards, rhinos and migrating wildebeest who call the Serengeti home and camp deep in the park. Day 21 Ngorongoro CraterDescend into the giant volcanic Ngorongoro Crater to look for its abundant wildlife and perhaps spy Africa's iconic Big Five. Ngorongoro is believed to contain the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa. Day 22 MaranguVisit the Amani Children's Home - an inspirational school for underprivileged kids. Days 23-24 Usambara MountainsTake a walking tour of a village, and get a firsthand look into the lives of the Chagga people who reside on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. Try a typical Chagga meal before heading to one of the most unspoilt places in Tanzania - the Usambara Mountains. Day 25 Dar es SalaamJourney to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's balmy port city, and camp overnight at a beach on the outskirts of town. Days 26-29 ZanzibarJump on a ferry to discover Africa's famed 'Spice Island'. Take a tour of the aromatic plantations and perhaps relax with a book on Zanzibar's perfect, white sand beaches.
