Czech
Republic- Take off on foot and follow the Royal
Way Trail in
Prague,
one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We recommend
starting at the castle and doing the route backwards, moving downhill
rather than up and ending in the Old
Town area where you can relax at a
nice cafe for a drink or bite to eat.
England
-
Climb the steps in the Beauchamp Tower (Tower
of London) where some of
the most important prisoners were housed. Built almost 900 years ago at
the request of William the Conqueror and originally a royal palace
it served as a prison and place of torture and execution.

Bike through the vineyards of the Bordeaux,
the largest wine region
on earth and sample wine from the many 9000+ producers. Here you can
enrol in a wine
course or spend a night or two at one of the many
chateaus scattered throughout this region and enjoy the
restaurants that prepare food to showcase its wine.
Germany
- Separating East from West
Berlin for 25 years the Berlin
Wall
is slowly fading back into modern Berlin. While sections of the wall
still
exist, they continue to
be under threat of ongoing development projects. In some places,
markers on the ground provide a
reminder of what was once there and in other areas not a trace
exists. 136 people died trying to escape the east for a better life in
West Germany.
Italy
-
Meander along the Grand Canal by gondola and take a journey through
Venetian
history. This great road of water is the
most
beautiful street in Venice. The atmosphere is absolutely unforgettable
as the splendour of the Grand
Canal is unparalleled. The
Grand
Canal does not go in a straight line but flows as though it
were a
woman's body in curves.

Madeira
- Experience sliding up to 48km per hour on a toboggan through
narrow winding streets from Monte
to Funchal.
These two-seater
wicker
sledges glide on wooden runners, pushed and
steered by two men traditionally dressed in white cotton clothes and a
straw hat, using their rubber-soled boots as brakes.

Netherlands
- With 1,000-plus bridges to cross and amazing
architecture to photograph,
a
self guided walking tour of Amsterdam
is a must. Grab a map at one of
the Amsterdam Tourist Offices and don't miss the chance to experience
Anne
Frank's House, the Van
Gogh Museum and a Canal Cruise.
Russia
- Take the
Trans-Siberian
Railway, one of
the most famous of the world's great train journeys, a six-day trip
covering 5,869 miles (9,446km) and eight time zones, from
Moscow
in
Europe to Vladivostok
on the Asian
Pacific Coast. It is the longest
continuous railway on earth and is the best way to experience the vast
expanse of Russia, passing small isolated farmhouses and pastoral
lands, churches and brightly painted log-cabin settlements, rolling
hills and forests, steppes, rivers and lakes.
Spain
- Lace up your hiking boots and set out on an unforgettable pilgrimage
to the Spanish holy city of Santiago
de Compostela. The same
way
that thousands of pilgrims have done before you.

Grand
Bazaar
in Istanbul. The oldest and largest covered bazaar in the world with 64

there are pick pockets..... so keep an eye out.
