Belize
is an extraordinary country with several 'worlds', all relatively close
to each other yet quite different in attraction and interest: Mayan
ruins, jaguar-inhabited jungles, a wide ethnic mix of people,
small
cayes set in azure waters, and great places for snorkeling, diving,
nature trips, fishing, or plain relaxing.

An adventure high on the wish list of active adventurers keen to take
on the challenge of traversing Costa Rica under their own steam. Our

natural wilderness through farmlands, foothills and mountainous regions
reaching the peaks of Cero Lira and Cero Las Vueltas (3,100m). The
trails are often slippery and poorly defined, with several river
crossings. We encounter indigenous settlements deep in the cloud forest
and hope to glimpse rare wildlife and birdlife in this pristine

Costa
Rica touches the heart and mind. Not through elegant
boulevards, towering cathedrals, or an imposing place in history, but
through the incredible natural beauty and the natural
hospitality of its people. Mexico
is quite a fascinating country if you
escape off the beaten track of the large coastal resorts and visit the Mayan
and Aztec
ruins, colourful Indian markets, kayak or watch whales
on Baja's Sea of Cortes or take a hike along the Copper Canyon. Nicaragua
remains undiscovered by the tourist hordes, with
misconceptions still lingering in the popular consciousness. Nicaragua
has three main eco-regions, the Pacific, Central and Atlantic.
The Pacific region is
home to volcanoes, lakes, tropical forests,
beaches and mangrove systems.
The Central region is home to mountains,
rivers and agricultural areas, and the Atlantic region
contains
rainforests, marine lagoons, mangrove systems and coral reefs.
